NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 1 is simply astounding. The graphics are amazing, and the characters have never looked better with stunning face models ranging from megastar celebrities to supermodels and YouTubers. Nearly all of the performances deliver in the game, and one of the best voices belongs to Smoke. This isn’t too surprising considering the voice actor is A-list in the world of video games and is the upcoming star of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The voice actor for Smoke in Mortal Kombat 1 is Yuri Lowenthal.

This is Yuri Lowenthal’s Mortal Kombat video game debut as his only other role in the series was as Kobra in the animated film, Snow Blind. As a playable character amongst the MK1 roster, Smoke is affiliated with the Lin Kuei alongside Scorpion and Sub Zero.

At the beginning of the game’s stellar story, Smoke and the rest of the Lin Kuei assault heroes Raiden and Kung Lao. They even attack the precious Madame Bo.

However, the ruse is quickly uncovered as the Lin Kuei are protectors of Earthrealm testing Raiden and Kung Lao for Fire God Liu Kang.

Who is Mortal Kombat 1 voice actor Yuri Lowenthal?

Yuri Lowenthal is a video game voice actor most famous for his portrayal of Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

He was the voice of Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales, and he is reprising his leading role in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. He even made a cameo in Across the Spider-Verse as ‘Insomniac Spider-Man’.

His other most famous video game role is the Prince in the Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy. He is also best friend Yosuke Hanamura in Persona 4.

These are only just a few of his roles. Yuri Lowenthal has nearly 800 credits on IMDB with performances in other massive video games and series such as Call of Duty, Fire Emblem, Star Wars, and World of Warcraft.

Mortal Kombat 1 is now available on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox in early access format. There is no crossplay at launch, but it is coming in the future.

It has a stacked roster at launch, but there are a few missing names. Badass Cassie Cage cosplay has fans especially missing Johnny’s daughter, but her absence makes sense because of the soft reboot timeline.
