Mortal Kombat fans are buzzing with excitement right now as the new MK1 will be accessible to everyone in the world by the end of the week on PS5, Xbox and PC via Steam. Here is everything you need to know about the release date, release time and early access options.
Mortal Kombat 1 is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. Hollywood star Megan Fox will voice Nitara, although she’s not the only huge celebrity lending their likeness and vocals to the arena. Some other celebrities include Jean Claude Van Damme as a skin for Johnny Cage, along with WWE megastar John Cena as Peacemaker from Suicide Squad in DLC Kombat Pack 1. While the inclusion of celebrities from movies and television shows is exciting, the best aspect of MK is always the brutally gory fatalities. So, if you’re especially eager to crush bones and squish bodies, then make sure you’re online at the below times.
Mortal Kombat 1 early access release date
The early access release date for Mortal Kombat 1 is September 14th.
MK1 is coming to PlayStation and Xbox. Unfortunately, it is next-gen on these consoles only, meaning it is not coming to either PS4 or Xbox One.
Aside from PlayStation and Xbox, it is also landing on Nintendo Switch. There is trepidation online about how the game will perform on Switch, so it may be wise to wait for reviews before pre-ordering on the handheld console.
Lastly, MK1 will be available on PC for both Steam and the Epic Games store.
What time does Mortal Kombat 1 early access come out?
The release date and time countdown for when Mortal Kombat 1 early access will come out are 10:00 PDT, 13:00 EST, and 18:00 BST on September 14th.
All of the above launch times come courtesy of the PSN and Microsoft store for PlayStation and Xbox. No launch time is shared for either PC Steam or Nintendo Switch, but it should be simultaneous.
Despite all its multiple platforms, there is no crossplay for MK1 at launch. The FAQ mentioned that cross-platform multiplayer would be added post-launch, but this titbit has been removed.

Some fans were initially angry over the Nitara redesign, but the casting of Megan Fox has cast worries aside. However, there is concern online that the previous MK1 Travis Scott leaks are true thanks to Megan Fox’s confirmed involvement.
