Mortal Kombat 1 has an amazing roster at launch, but there are quite a few missing names from previous games. Cassie Cage is a fan-favorite over in the cosplay community, but she’s sadly not part of the MK1 roster for obvious reasons.

Despite its name, Mortal Kombat 1 is not a remake. It’s a soft reboot and sequel to MK11, and the early access release date is right around the corner for fans who cannot wait to enter the arena. There is an incredible roster from day one with the likes of Kitana, Mileena, Sindrel, Sub Zero, Scorpion, Fire God Liu Kang, and even the succubus Megan Fox as crazy bat lady, Nitara. However, there are also sad omissions such as Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade’s daughter, Cassie Cage.

There’s also an incredible portrayal of Cassie Cage by Russian cosplayer, narga_lifestream, on Instagram. She wows in the Mortal Kombat X suit, too, and she perfectly embodies the sassy personality of Cassie Cage by blowing bubble gum.

Is Cassie Cage in Mortal Kombat 1?

Cassie Cage is not part of the leaked or confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 roster.

She is not a fighter in the game, nor is she an unplayable Kameo. Her dad, Johnny Cage, is part of the playable roster, meanwhile, her mother, Sonya Blade, is restricted to the non-playable Kameos.

As for why she’s not in MK1, it’s simply because she’s not born yet. She made her debut in Mortal Kombat X, so she’s only playable in two entries in the entire franchise.

Still, despite so few appearances, lots of fans are going to miss her inclusion as seen over on Reddit.
