Lies of P is one of the most anticipated games of the summer as a bizarre mishmash between Pinocchio and Bloodborne. The early access release date is right around the corner, and fans are impatiently waiting for the review embargo to end.
Bloodborne is one of the greatest games of all time, but it’s sadly exclusive to PlayStation. While fans on Xbox and PC would love to experience arguably FromSoftware’s magnum opus, the good news is that everyone will be able to enjoy an alternative heavily inspired by the gothic masterpiece. While we know Bloodborne was one of the best PS4 exclusives, the quality of Lies of P remains to be seen with reviews coming soon.

The review embargo date has not leaked for Lies of P, but reviews are coming soon.
Over on Twitter, YouTuber FightinCowboy has said they have ‘Started working on Lies of P’. In addition, we know review keys are out thanks to PersistentWorld on Twitter, too.
Reviews will be out this week before the launch of early access, and it’s just a matter of when. Final verdicts typically come out one day before launch, so we could be looking at September 15th.
With final verdicts imminent, fans are already trying to guess the overall consensus about the game’s quality.

Metacritic review score predictions
Fans on Reddit are making predictions about the Metacritic score.
Judging by the voting results as of writing, most people are hopeful Lies of P will average between 81 and 90. This would be incredible especially seeing as it’s a new IP surrounded by lots of ambiguity.
However, despite the optimism, there is plenty of scepticism, too. One fan argues it’s review scores may be tarnished through needless comparisons to Elden Ring and other FromSoftware works, meanwhile, another fan hopes it doesn’t have ‘problems in level design, pacing and balance’.
Lots of fans are saying they would be happy with 8/10 scores, meanwhile, other fans fear it may be judged harshly for being too similar to Bloodborne.
Lies of P early access release date
The early access release date for Lies of P is September 16th.
It is coming to PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. It will only be available on next-gen consoles, meaning it will not be on PS4 or Xbox One.
For Xbox, it will be available on Game Pass. But, unfortunately, not early access. This means Game Pass subscribers must wait until September 19th to enjoy the game entirely for free.
