We only have to wait less than a month longer to don the iconic red and blue spidey outfit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While we cannot wait to swing around New York as both Peter and Miles, developer Insomniac is already seemingly teasing a Spider-Man 3 sequel.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to be, pardon the pun, amazing. Away from the divisiveness of the face models for Peter and MJ, everything about the game, so far, looks incredible. There are new and returning rogues famous from the comic books and movies, and New York has exponentially grown to nearly twice as big which means even more thugs, car robbers, and delinquents to whoop. The upcoming sequel arrives very soon, but could there already be talk about a Spider-Man 3?

Insomniac teases Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 sequel
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developer, Insomniac Games, has slightly teased a Spider-Man 3 sequel.
During an interview with Gizmodo about the story, miles, and villains, a question popped up about where the series could be heading in the future.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 director, Ben Arfmann, responded by saying he “would love to be able to talk” about the series’ future, but acknowledged Insomnaic is “going to be so lucky to get to tell more stories”.
Without giving anything away, Insomniac Director of Community and Marketing, James Stevenson, teased “Maybe there’s a post-credits scene”. Arfmann followed up by saying that Spider-Man 2 is “definitely a Marvel experience”.

Marvel movies are famous for post-credits scenes that indicate what’s to come next. Judging by the interview, it seems likely Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have a post-credits scene just like the first game where Miles revealed his spider powers to Peter.
As for what a Spider-Man 3 could involve, there’s no way of knowing until we get our hands on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Fortunately, the release date is right around the corner as it launches for PlayStation on October 20th for the PS5.
