Microsoft’s new Xbox Mastercard credit card is now available for gamers to pick up. It comes with a free Xbox Game Pass bonus, but it’s currently only available to Insiders program members.
Xbox Game Pass is the best subscription service available in the video games industry. There are many new releases this month that’ll do damage to your wallet, but the Game Pass October 2023 selection will take away some of the financial sting by giving away Forza Motorsport for free. If you find yourself buying online games with your credit card, then maybe you want to look into getting the brand new Xbox Mastercard.
How to get new Xbox credit card
You can only get the new Xbox Mastercard credit card if you live in the United States, Alaska, or Hawaii.
In addition, you also have to be a member of the Insiders program. This program is entirely free, and you can easily sign up by downloading the Xbox Insider bundle from the Microsoft store.
Provided you live in the United States and are an Insiders member, you can then apply online to get an Xbox Mastercard. It will become available to the entire Xbox audience in the United States sometime in 2024.
Getting the credit card comes with the added bonus of free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for three months. This is only eligible for new subscribers, though.
In addition, with your first purchase, you will be rewarded 5,000 card points worth $50. Below is how the points system works:
- Xbox & Microsoft – Earn 5x card points on eligible products at the Microsoft Store.
- Streaming Services – Earn 3x card points on eligible streaming services like Netflix® and Disney+®.
- Dining Delivery Services – Earn 3x card points on eligible dining delivery services like Grubhub® and DoorDash®.
- Everyday purchases – Earn 1x card points on all other everyday purchases.
