Grand Theft Auto fans have been begging Rockstar to finally pull the curtain aside on GTA 6. In this desperation, a wild moon theory has gotten out of control with fans clinging to hope that an announcement is coming very soon.
GTA 6 is going to be the biggest game ever when it finally comes out. We have seen gameplay thanks to leaks, but Rockstar hasn’t officially revealed anything as yet. We don’t officially know the location, and we don’t officially know the characters, or when an official announcement about when it will finally come out. but every day there appear to be new ‘leaks’ and rumors. However, the wildest one is far is the moon theory that suggests an announcement is coming this October.
GTA 6 moon theory points to October 2023 announcement
A crazy theory involving the moon suggests Rockstar Games is going to announce GTA 6 on October 3rd.
This viral theory has been shared on Twitter by GTAVInewz. As of writing, it currently has 590,000+ views.
The theory says all GTA and Red Dead games have been announced in October on a Tuesday. However, this is where the theory dies right away.
GTA 5 was announced on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011, but Red Dead Redemption 2’s announcement date of October 18th, 2016, was a Friday. Still, they were both announced in October so we’ll give this theory that at least.
In addition to announcements in October, the theory also looks at Rockstar Games’ Moon Festival post for GTA Online. It points out the VI in the picture, and it also claims that a full moon is set for October 3rd.
Again, this is where everything can be debunked. While the VI is just happenstance, the full moon is actually happening on Saturday, October 28th. So, yeah, don’t expect an announcement tomorrow if at all this October.
There are people who believe the theory could come true, but there are just as many who have completely dismissed it as conspiracy and copium. It’s possible a tease could happen this month, but don’t expect anything based on this theory involving moons.
When GTA 6 eventually comes out, it’s expected to land on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
