The Mortal Kombat 1 campaign offers incredible storytelling through excellent performances from everyone involved. That is except for Megan Fox who has given a perfect response to ‘grumpy trolls’ that have heavily criticized her performance as Nitara in MK1.

Mortal Kombat 1 is astonishingly good. The single-player campaign is easily the best of any fighting game franchise, and all of the characters look better than ever before because of face models ranging from celebrity actors to supermodels and YouTubers. While all of the kombatants look incredible, fans have been critical of the Jean Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, and Megan Fox has received an earful over her performance as crazy bat-lady, Nitara.

Mortal Kombat 1 fans criticize Megan Fox’s performance as Nitara

Mortal Kombat 1 fans are not particularly impressed with Megan Fox’s performance as Nitara in MK1.

On Reddit, a post titled ‘Megan Fox is not a good voice actor’ has received nearly 2,000 upvotes as of writing. And nearly all of the comments agree with the sentiment from OP, DaAsteroidRider.

Many commenters feel that her performance is ‘disinterested’. Some fans have even questioned her motivation for the job with one commentor suggesting ‘It legit just looks like she went into the sound booth, read her line and got the tf out’.

Some think her performance is so bad it’s hilarious, meanwhile, others believe she’s just awful.

MK1 fans blast Megan Fox’s performance as even worse than Ronda Rousey

To pound the stake even deeper, some Mortal Kombat 1 fans are even arguing that Megan Fox’s performance is remarkably worse than Ronda Rousey’s in MK11.

One fan claims Megan Fox’s vocals completely take them out of the story. Another fan says the comparison shouldn’t even need to be made as Megan Fox is a legitimate actress whereas Ronda Rousey can be excused as she’s instead a famous athlete.

As pointed out by one fan, the performance isn’t ideal, but it’s only a few lines. It’s not a massive travesty as the story mode is still incredibly well executed.

Megan Fox responds to Mortal Kombat 1 ‘grumpy trolls’

Megan Fox has responded to criticism over her performance as Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1.

On her Instagram, the Transformers actress posted the message, ‘I actually can’t believe I’m voicing a character in #MK1, now all you grumpy trolls in the comments can execute a fatality on me’.

Not everyone criticizing Megan Fox’s performance is a ‘troll,’ but it’s good to see she’s happy about being in the game and is able to make jokes about herself.

She is legitimately a huge Mortal Kombat fan, so her appreciation and love for the series can never be doubted. Her vocals may not be entirely ideal for the role in some people’s opinion, but the design of Nitara is still one of the best amongst the MK1 roster.

Mortal Kombat 1 is now available on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox in early access format. There is no crossplay at launch, but it is coming in the future.

It has a stacked roster at launch, but there are a few missing names. Badass Cassie Cage cosplay has fans especially missing Johnny’s daughter, but her absence makes sense because of the soft reboot timeline
