Xbox Game Pass is sheer paradise for Microsoft loyalists and subscribers. However, despite its extensive library of amazing experiences, there is always a give and take, and eight games are leaving before the beginning of October.
September has been one of the best months since the birth of Xbox Game Pass released in 2017. Starfield joined the subscription service with 10 million players, and the Bloodborne spiritual successor Lies of P has just been added. And, as if that wasn’t enough for us greedy gamers, Payday 3 joins the party very soon too. While these additions are fantastic, there are eight games being scrapped in just over a week.
Eight games leaving Xbox Game Pass before October
Below are all eight games leaving Xbox Game Pass before the beginning of October 2023:
- Beacon Pines
- Despot’s Game
- Last Call BBS
- Moonscars
- Prodeus
- Outriders
- Shenzhen I/O
- Weird West
All of the above will make their adieu on September 30th. Two of the most recognizable names from the above list are Outriders and Weird West.
If you recall, Outriders is an RPG shooter from Square Enix. It’s been considered a flop as it hasn’t made a profit for the Japanese-based publisher.
Weird West, on the other hand, is a worthwhile RPG set in, of course, the Wild West. It has many different outcomes to its many memorable quests, so make sure to give it a go before its departure.
Games joining Xbox Game Pass in October
In return for eight titles leaving the subscription service, below are all of the known games joining Xbox Game Pass in October 2023:
- Gotham Knights – Oct 3rd
- The Lamplighter’s League – Oct 3rd
- Warhammer 40,000 Darktide – Oct 4th
- Forza Motorsport – Oct 10th
- Cities Skylines 2 – Oct 24th
- Mineko’s Night Market – Oct 26th
- Headbangers Rythm Royale – Oct 31st
These are all of the games known for October 2023 so far. It’s possible even more could join the subscription service in the month of Halloween.
An Xbox Game Pass subscription is £7.99 per month on PC, and £8.99 per month on console. Consoles also have an Ultimate membership available for £12.99 a month.
