In the ever-evolving world of Pokémon, there exists a tale that intrigued players for years – a story that revolves around a lost first-person Pokémon game.
Imagine stepping into a world where you, the Trainer, are not just an onlooker but an active participant in the Pokémon universe, seeing the world through the eyes of your beloved pocket monsters.
Well, thanks to a restoration job from the ever-popular gaming YouTube channel, Did You Know Gaming – the ‘lost’ browser game known as Pokémon 2000 Adventure… you can do just that.

What is Pokémon 2000 Adventure?
According to PCGamer – Pokémon 2000 Adventure was originally created as a tie-in for the second Pokémon movie. The game was the work of Cyberworld, a company making browser-based 3D environments as promotional tools.
They were hired by Warner Bros. to help market the movie. But Cyberworld went above and beyond, making a game where you chose from three teams of Pokémon with different abilities you could use to solve puzzles across three explorable islands.
It was a smash hit with fans, resembling late-90s shooters. It turned out to be a phenomenal game in general and that’s what actually got it shut down.
After racking up around a million downloads over the course of a month, it was shut down by Nintendo – who ‘freaked out’ as it was almost too good of a game to not be associated with them.
Now it’s back – here’s how you can play
Thanks to Eddie Ruminiski of DYKG, the game has now been restored and is available to play.
You can download it from the Internet Archive. The package also includes design docs and storyboards, as well as so much more.
Go and try it out for yourselves and immerse yourself into the wacky world of a first-person retro Pokémon title!
