The EA Sports FC 24 Web App is here and as a result, you can begin building your Ultimate Team, but with no starter packs, how is it possible?

Despite the release on PlayStation and Xbox not being until later in the week, EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team is available to play via the Web App on PC. The controversial aspect of the game this year is that there are no packs given out when you begin. Typically you would be rewarded for how much you played the previous year’s game, but with this being a new game entirely, there is nothing being given out. Without these packs, how can you build a starter team? Thankfully, we have the know-how.

Who do you choose for your Starter Pack?

Every year on Ultimate Team, you have to make a decision over who you choose as your starter team. A selection of nations between:

The country that you select will see your starter squad feature a heavier amount of players from that specific country, so England will feature players from all four leagues but will share the same nation.

Once you select your country, you are given a team of mainly bronze players, supplemented with three non-rare golds and two non-rare silver cards. This is added to by a seven-match loan player in a position of your choice.

Once you have chosen your loan player, kits and badges are the next point of contention. You choose your home and away kit and the recommendation is to choose the option of the biggest team with gold rare items.

For example, if you have a selection of the nine kits and you really like one, but it is bronze, still choose the gold rare one, you’ll regret not doing it. Do the same with the badges and choose the biggest team’s badge available.

You are probably thinking, “Why do this?”, well, it’s all because there are no starter packs and as a result coins are king, quick sell these kits and badge for 400 coins each, and you’ve got a good starter point to complete SBCs and objectives.

How to complete SBCs and Objectives

So to begin with, the idea of attempting to complete SBCs and objectives seems impossible with no coins, and no ability to play games but trust the process, it is possible.

Start with the Foundations I SBC, this will start your journey and allow you to open up all the other challenges that are available. Four simple challenges, requiring ten bronzes to complete. With that, you are rewarded with five packs to repopulate your club.

Once this is done you will also complete your first objective and this is how you need to continue moving forward. Recycle your bronzes into Foundations I, II, III, IV, and V, these will populate your club with plenty of gold cards by the end and you will have a good team to carry into full release.

Although there are no guarantees of who you pack and if you will be able to make a good team, my team now features Trent Alexander Arnold and Jadon Sancho, all while boasting a non-rare gold team around those two.

Without the starter packs, it definitely isn’t as enjoyable as previous years, with the starter packs and rewards given out to have a chance to make some coins.
