Millions of people have logged into to play Club Penguin again and one of the burning questions is how do you get a jackhammer to dig for coins.
With self-isolation and the global lockdown in full effect, Club Penguin is undergoing something of a resurgence.
People around the world are logging back into, or creating new accounts, to play the Disney classic that was apparently shut down in 2017.

However, the game has been relaunched to help people through what is a tough period of 2020 so far. Club Penguin offers people the chance to socialise, as well as keeping them occupied with some fun-filled in-game activities.
The object of the game is to complete challenges, look after your Puffle, and collect items and coins through the game.
One of the best ways to build your coin collection is by digging or mining for them. But to do this, you need to use a jackhammer to dig into the ground.
It’s something that’s left a lot of people searching for answers. Given that, we’ve played the game out to see just how you can get your hands on the jackhammer.
How to get a jackhammer in Club Penguin
One of the easiest ways to get a jackhammer is to head over the mine. Once you are here, you simply enter the mine, then go to the bottom right corner to head to the dig pit.
In here, you should see a whole host of fellow penguins digging away in the middle of the screen. To join them, simply walk to the collection of hats.

Once you’ve taken a hard hat, you need to put it on. You also need to remove any other items of clothing you have one. Having done this and put the hat on, you can head into what looks like a mud pit with the other penguins.
You’ll then see your penguin actions icon light up green. Click this, then click the dance icon, and your penguin will dig away to find coins.
You can keep doing this until you’re pretty much bored of doing so. You can also dance with the helmet on outside of the mud pit but you’ll find nothing.
Finally, you can also wear a green hard hat when digging for trees. This will, you guessed it, let you dig with a green jackhammer.
