AEW WrestleDream was a marvellous event that saw the debut of the Rated R Superstar, Adam Copeland. Known famously as Edge, his arrival in All Elite Wrestling is bad news for the WWE 2K24 roster.

WWE 2K24 will launch around the same time as 2K22 and 2K23. The series used to launch around Fall, but now it releases in March close to the behemoth of all wrestling shows, WrestleMania. Nothing is known about WWE 2K24 as of this moment in time other than the fact it is currently in development. The series always has an incredible roster of 100+ superstars, but the upcoming installment could be missing one of the best Hall of Famers ever.

Edge might be missing from WWE 2K24 roster

The arrival of Adam Copeland in AEW means Edge will most likely be missing from the WWE 2K24 roster.

Former WWE wrestlers in AEW are never in the WWE 2K games following their debut. Some of the most prominent examples include Christian Cage, Andrade, Rusev, and Jeff Hardy.

It seems likely the same will happen with Adam Copeland seeing as 2K have plenty of time between now and release day to remove him. This is a potential bummer for fans of the Rated R legend.

Many had hoped there would be a showcase mode focusing on the Ultimate Opportunist, but this now seems an unlikely prospect. Still, there are plenty of other megastars showcase mode could possibly focus on like Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, the Rock, Stone Cold, etc.

In addition to the absence of Edge, it’s unlikely we’ll see the following wrestlers who were recently released from the company:

In better news though, we could see the WWE 2K debut of Mortal Kombat 1 cosplayer Jade Cargill as DLC.

WWE 2K24 will come to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
