Another week, another Silver Stars card for the collection! Pol Lirola is the newest addition to FUT 21.
The Spanish midfielder from Marseille is a natural Right Back that has seemingly earned a special card for his attacking threat, moving him up to a Right Midfielder. Check out his full stat profile on Futbin here.

If you can look past his shocking Shooting stats, his pace and dribbling can cause problems, he can clearly defend too, and his Nationality/League combo means he can fit into a wide variety of teams.
Ironically, it seems it was his late winner against Lorient with a powerful shot from distance, which may have earned him this card. Check out the goal below.
For a chemistry style, I would suggest Anchor for his defensive strengths.
Let’s take a look at 3 ways to integrate Pol Lirola into a FIFA 21 Silver team for use in Silver Stars and/or The Playground.
Ligue 1 (France) Team
At the start of the season, Ligue 1 was looking a bit weak in the Silver stakes, but a few strong Special cards throughout the season means this route will be the go-to for many FUT players.
If you were dedicated enough to pick up the Timothy Weah What If card (maybe the best Silver card in Ultimate Team history!) and the Silver Stars Junior Sambia from earlier in the season, you have a great pair of Special cards that bring extra power to your team.
Pol Lirola fits neatly in between those two cards. Silver Stars Moise Kean from very early in the game cycle would also fit well.
I opted for Olivier Ntcham as a solid Marseille CM, to provide a strong link. There aren’t many options for strong links here. Germain can work, but there are far better strikers out there.
Spanish Team
Pol Lirola’s Spanish nationality makes him one of the easier cards to fit into a FUT silver team, allowing many choices.
Sergio León is a solid silver ST card with good Shooting stats, Fede Vico is the CAM that brings the pace, passing and dribbling. Pol Llonch is a hidden gem that has strong defensive stats and good pace too and could be placed at CB for a more ‘Meta’ approach.
If not, just place him at CDM and throw in someone like Ramalho at CB. You have many good options for Spanish midfielders and defenders to choose from, mine are simply a suggestion.
My FUT ‘Meta’ Silver Team Ft. Pol Lirola
My personal silver team is my pride and joy in FIFA 21, featuring plenty of strong Special cards including Weah, Dalbert and Marcos André. It’s about as meta as a silver team can be, with bucket loads of pace throughout, and several 5* skillers.
In order to make Pol Lirola fit here, I needed to get creative! Weah provided a weak link as he did earlier in our Ligue 1 team, and I paired him with Danilo who has been very useful as a Brazil/Ligue 1 combination.
All I needed now was a Spanish defender, ideally from the Bundesliga. I wasn’t holding out much hope here, but then I stumbled across Jorge Meré! The Köln man was the perfect fit.
Conclusion for the FUT Pol Lorita Card
In conclusion, you shouldn’t have much trouble fitting the FUT Pol Lirola card into your team if you really want him, just don’t expect him to bang in the goals!
A solid utility midfielder who will provide pacey defensive support, and could work well as a wingback in a back 5.
