EA Sports has been forced to remove the ability to play with Ada Hegerberg in FC 24 following a strange phenomenon in the game.
EA Sports FC 24 was released this week on PlayStation and Xbox, in spite of it’s recent release fans have noticed a bug already. For users on the Ultimate Edition or the EA Play trial, they have had their first taste of the new game and there have been a few issues that are being noticed. From defending being near impossible to menus crashing the game, what is the problem that EA has had to make a statement about?
Why has Ade Hegerberg been disabled in EA FC 24?
First of all, if you don’t know who Ada Hegerberg is, let’s take a look.
She is one of the best strikers in the history of the women’s game. 139 appearances in nine years at Lyon has generated 158 goals, a ludicrous record. Add to that 79 appearances and 43 goals for Norway, she is a phenomenon.
In EA FC 24, she has an 89-rated card which sees her rank among the best strikers in the world. Despite not boasting the best pace possible, coming in with 89 shooting and 86 dribbling makes her one of the best strikers, in terms of stats, in the game.
The issue surrounding Hegerberg is that when she does a skill move during a game, the player runs away from the ball and loses all control.
Visually this looks strange as she wanders away but there is yet to be a solution to the problem.
Her player card has now been disabled and will not be able to be used in any games for the foreseeable future. The cause of this issue isn’t known but there is a possibility that her unique body type is having an effect.
