EA Sports FC 24 is just around the corner now, which begs the question – which version should you be purchasing?

Another season begins, which means EA is now releasing their ever-anticipated soccer simulator – however, this year it comes with an entirely new name.

EA ended their partnership with FIFA, which means they’ve had to rebrand. The Canadian company settled on EA Sports FC 24. It will still feature all the modes we know and love – including the ever-popular Ultimate Team

However, a question on a lot of lips will be which edition to pick up. There are two to choose from, the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition, which each come with their own unique perks.

EA Sports FC 24 Price

The price is the first thing that varies between the two.

The standard edition of EA Sports FC 24 can be bought for $69.99 in the U.S. or £69.99 in the UK. EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate edition costs $99.99 in the U.S. or £99.99 in the UK.

FC24 Ultimate Edition Perks

Granted, paying a bit more for the Ultimate Edition comes with privileges. EA include a bunch of perks with the more expensive addition to entice you in.

The biggest of these is the fact the Ultimate Edition allows a full week’s early access. It also offers 4600 FIFA points, a TOTW 1 untradeable player, access to the Nike Ultimate Team campaign, a Nike Ultimate Team loan player & a Nike x EA Sports Ultimate Team kit.

Cover

The final differentiation may matter to some. The covers are different depending on which version you purchase.

The standard edition depicts Erling Haaland of Manchester City striking a ball goalbound, whereas the Ultimate Edition depicts a plethora of the world’s superstars from present and old.

Which edition should you buy?

Realistically, it depends on how much of an avid fan you are of the franchise. Personally, an extra $30 to grant you FIFA points which outweigh the cost anyway is WELL worth it. That’s without all the other perks.

You’ve also got to take into account that you get the game a whole week early. If you suffer from FOMO -you’re going to want to pick up the Ultimate Edition.

Nevertheless, the choice is yours.
