With the release of EA Sports FC 24, the different Evolutions and their individual requirements have been revealed.
For those who have purchased the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24, the new game has been released on Playstation and Xbox. With that comes the highly anticipated new feature in Ultimate Team, Evolutions. These will allow you to pick a player for you to receive a base, special card of. Through objectives, you will then be able to upgrade that card, improving individual stats and stars.
What are the different Evolutions?
You can only turn the EA Sports FC 24 EA Play 10-hour trial into 20 hours if you are on a current-gen console. But the reveal of the new features in Evolutions is one of the most hyped. There are four different Evolutions to pick from at the beginning and they are:
- Welcome to Evolutions
- Pacey Protector
- Relentless Winger
- Golden Glow Up (Part 1 & 2)
With that being said, what are the requirements and who is the best player that you can choose for each of the requirements set in EA FC 24?
Welcome to Evolutions
This is the easiest and most basic example of the new feature. Allowing you to choose any player with less than 90 pace and 80 defending who is rated below 80.
Whoever you choose will receive small upgrades to their base cards, but this is intended just to get players used to the system. With plus one in pace, dribbling, physical, passing, and overall rating, there isn’t much but it’s something.
There is almost an infinite number of players that you could choose for this one depending on what team you have or strive to build.
Xavi Simons is a good option, getting his card up to an 80 overall with some good stats for an attacking option. 88 pace and 84 dribbling will make him a difficult opponent in the opening weeks. Able to play as a right or left winger as well as a central attacking midfielder makes him versatile too.

Pacey Protector
This one is definitely more fun and a better example of what this feature is going to be good for. Taking a center back with low pace and being able to boost it is a very exciting concept.
This Evolution requires a center-back with a maximum of 80 overall, 65 pace, 84 defending, 84 physical, and 75 passing. There are plenty of good options to pick from.
Kurt Zouma is the ideal option for this choice, due to his stats which are paired nicely with great league and nation links. When you achieve his upgrades, he will boast 76 pace, 82 defending and 88 physical which will make him a great starter defender, that is for sure.

Relentless Winger
Now we’re on to the proper upgrades. Although this one will come at a price. 50,000 coins this Evolution will set you back but the rewards could be well worth it.
This one requires a left winger with a maximum overall of 79. Individual stats can be no higher than 91 pace, 79 physical, 82 dribbling, and 79 shooting. This narrows the search down but there are still plenty of options to pick from.
Ansu Fati is the man to choose here, with his move to Brighton and Hove Albion, his links have improved massively. At his most upgraded, he reaches 84 overall with some serious stats for a winger. 93 pace, 83 shooting, and 88 dribbling will make him dangerous. An honorable mention can go to Alejandro Garnacho, but Fati is the optimum choice.

Golden Glow Up (Part 1 & 2)
This is arguably the most interesting of the lot, Golden Glow Up allows you to take a bronze central midfielder and boost them to become a gold card.
This one requires you to choose a bronze card with a maximum of 75 pace, 65 shooting, 70 dribbling, 65 defending, and 73 physical. This again leaves plenty of choices for anyone to pick from.
The best option has to be Kobbie Mainoo of Manchester United. Not only does he have great league and nation links, but he also has a very well-rounded card for early in the game. His first upgrade sees him without a stat under 71 and the ability to play in any midfield role.
With this upgrade, it unlocks the ability to use the part two challenge. With this secondary Evolution, he will grow even further, hitting 80+ stats in pace, physical, and shooting. Adding two PlayStyles+ to his card, a very good option.
