In the new EA Sports FC 24 release, there are several new settings that are affecting gameplay, they can be changed to improve your experience.
At the time of writing, EA Sports FC 24 has been released on Playstation and Xbox for those who have purchased the ultimate edition, or on an EA Play trial. As a result, users are diving in and getting their teeth into the new game and its gameplay. With certain changes made to the settings in this year’s edition, there will be some things you will want to change to make your experience playing the game much better.
Tactical Defending
It is safe to say that defending is a big issue that no one can get their head around in EA FC, with goals a plenty in almost every game you play.
With default settings on, advanced defending is automatically selected. No one can put their finger on why it doesn’t work but it is leaving most players frustrated with the lack of ability to stop their opponents’ attack.
With that being said, a change to tactical defending, for most players appears to be having a positive effect. Players seem to pick up better positions and make it more difficult for the opponents’ forwards.

PlayStyles+ Indicators
This is the setting that is giving the most people trouble on the new game with lots of complaints over lag caused by these indicators.
The irony with this feature is that they are purely aesthetic, so what is really the need?
Turning off these player indicators will reduce any chance of lag. Although they won’t affect your ability to play, they will make your gameplay smoother.
Cross-Play enabled
Another feature that is based on making the gameplay as smooth as possible. By having cross-play enabled can have an effect on the latency of the lobbies you join.
Cross-play allows players to join games with players from other consoles. This is good for playing with friends but can cause issues with lag.
Unless you plan on playing with friends on other consoles regularly, you should turn off this setting. Your chances of a smooth game with low ping will improve.

Shot Assistance
Another aspect of the game that players have complaints about is the accuracy of shooting in the game. Shots from great positions are going wide without reason.
As a result of this, players should change their settings from assisted shooting to precision. This should see shots hit the target on a more regular basis.
This won’t make you score from every shot, but should help you get more shots on target and rid of the shots flying wide all the time.
