Football Manager 2024 is soon to be released and there are several new features that have been announced so far, let’s take a look at them.
With less than a month until Football Manager 24 releases on PC, there are new features that are coming to the game. There are always small tweaks which make each game better than the last and this year is no different. Next year’s edition are where the big changes are coming, but this year is still bigger and better than ever nonetheless.
1. Load Saved FM23 Games
This year’s edition will allow you to carry forward save data from Football Manager 2023 and allow you to play old saves on the new game.
It is unclear how this will work entirely at the time of writing. With that being said the prospect of taking advantage of new mechanics in the game to see where your team can go.
In a personal example, my 12-year save with Plymouth Argyle where I’ve won several Champions League’s will certainly get a re-run.

2. Player Targets
Targets have always been a feature in Football Manager but they were always a financial addition in contracts, but that isn’t the case now.
Now you can set a target which will involve a promise on game time. So for example, if you promise your future prospect the target of five goals, they can become a squad player.
These will be very useful and adds something different to the usual contract negotiations.
3. New League
The J League is now in Football Manager and is fully licenced for this year’s edition of the game. This includes J1, J2 and J3 Leagues as playable.
The added benefit of this is that you can now scout in the country. Recruitment focuses can also be set up in the J Leagues for the first time.
Also, there is full licensing for player faces, kits and badges in the game which also adds an extra level of enjoyment.
4. Transfer Intermediary
Sometimes, you just want to sell a player and no one comes in to buy them and it is impossible to sell.
In Football Manager 24, you will be able to hire an intermediary to help you sell players. Although this will come at a price, this can make it much easier to sell players.
There are some additions to the game which will make it better in subtle ways. With the gameplay getting better and changes being made, it is an exciting time for the game.
