At the start of every game, the search for cheap cards to start your team with is always on and this year is no different.
With EA Sports FC 24 releasing on Playstation and Xbox this week, players will be quickly looking to make the best Ultimate Team they can in as short a time period as possible. With it being more difficult to collate coins early on, lower-rated and cheap starter players are often preferred to fill out a starting eleven. These players often have standout stats which make them overpowered in certain aspects and become desirable. Let’s take a look at five of the best starter cards in this year’s game.
1. Beto (81 Rated)
The new Everton man comes in as one of the best-looking Premier League strikers to begin your journey in EA FC Ultimate Team. With 86 pace, 84 physical, and 79 shooting he is quick, strong, and should be a great finisher for early on.
He has a lengthy acceleRATE type and may be useful for the beginning of the game cycle. He is currently sitting at the cheap price of 1,500 coins, an easy amount to collate once the game has been released.

2. Arnaut Danjuma (81 Rated)
Considering their form, it may come as a surprise but the next player is another Everton player. Danjuma is a versatile option being able to play left midfield or as a striker. Boasting 86 pace, 83 dribbling, and 81 shooting he has great stats for one of these cheap starter players.
He is currently selling for 6,400 coins which is a large sum at the start of the new game, but with only the web app out at the time of writing, with time and the full release, his price will drop like a stone as he is packed more and more.

3. Joelinton (82 Rated)
Not a forward, but one of the best starter midfielders available is the Newcastle United man. Without a single stat below 70 and great positives like 88 physical, 82 dribbling, and 81 defending he has a very good card, that could last longer than just the start.
The Brazilian is currently costing around 7,500 coins but that is likely to decrease, he also represents good value either way as he is a card that will stand the test of time.

4. Roger Ibanez (80 Rated)
A defensive option this time, another Brazilian, but this time in the Saudi Arabian Pro League. As a center-back, he has quite remarkable stats. 85 pace, 82 defending, and 81 physical is as good as you can get for the opening weeks that is for sure.
With the influx of top players into the Saudi league and good country links, working him into a team could be great. Currently costing 11,000 coins, he is on the pricier side but with cheap starter players around him, he could be well worth it.

5. Karim Adeyemi (80 Rated)
Back to the forward options, Adeyemi is as versatile as they come. Operating as a left and right mid, left-winger, or as a striker, he will be extremely useful. 96 pace makes him one of the fastest players in the game, paired with useful shooting and dribbling stats, he is a danger.
Despite currently costing upwards of 20,000 coins, at 80 overall, his price is sure to drop at full release. He has great Bundesliga and Germany links which will make him easy to create a team around, he is one of the go-to’s early on, that is for sure.
