Former CS:GO player Ardis Svarenieks, known competitively as ‘Ardiis’, is a well-known name in the world of Esports.
Ardiis was one of the standout names during the beta stage of Valorant, winning a whole host of games and semi-competitive tournaments along the way. However, after winning the recent Twitch Rivals tournament alongside a host of ex-CS:GO pros, a report from Itsgamerdoc has claimed some underhand tactics.
It seems, then, that things could be about to get a bit heated for Ardiis. Riot Games, the makers of Valorant, have previously promised to outlaw all cheating in its game. They may, then, decide to take action.
Why is Ardiis being accused of being a cheat in Valorant?
Per the mentioned report, which comes via some detailed explanation from Dexerto, it is claimed that Ardiis has asked a cheat-maker to build him a private cheat to enable him to win games.
Furthermore, Ardiis is also accused of trying to get fellow players to fix games. This comes as further comments emerged suggesting Ardiis had cheated in the past when playing CS:GO.
According to Dexerto, there is video evidence that appears to show Ardiis asking fellow player Jack ‘kpiz’ Pragnell to throw a game.
It remains to be seen whether Ardiis will face action from Riot Games. However, if he is found to have been cheating, you can expect an immediate ban and bad press to firmly come his way.
