Update: Ken and Incineroar Final Smash Bros Ultimate Characters – Grinch Leak Deconfirmed
With the final Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct coming November 1st, the recent Smash Ultimate leaks are definitely a lot more interesting. Two characters who seem like shoe-ins are Shadow the Hedgehog and Ken.
The latest Smash Ultimate roster leak (known as the Grinch leak) revealed 7 new characters on the ‘Everyone is Here’ promotional art. These include Banjo-Kazooie, Geno, Isaac, Chorus Kids, Mach Rider, and of course, Ken and Shadow. With so many new appearances, it seems like the latter will be Echo Fighters. Here’s more evidence.
Smash Ultimate Leaks: Ken from Street Fighter
Since Ryu made the Smash Bros for WiiU and 3DS roster back in 2015, many fans have wondered whether we’ll see more Street Fighter in Smash Bros Ultimate.
Ever since Echo Fighters were announced for Smash Bros Ultimate, Ken has seemed like one of the most likely characters to make the roster. In his original Street Fighter appearances, Ken was almost a direct clone of Ryu with the exact same moves.
Leaks surfaced all the way back in August for Ken in Smash Bros Ultimate. The recent roster leaks make it seem all the more likely.
The previous Smash Bros Direct showed the Smash Bros Ultimate Music– including almost an hour of Street Fighter tracks! This makes new Street Fighter content in Smash Bros seem even more likely.
Expect to see Ken announced as an Echo Fighter in the new Smash Bros Direct. We might even see a new Street Fighter stage and even a boss character.
Smash Ultimate Leaks: Shadow The Hedgehog
Shadow the Hedgehog also seems like a character you can put your money on appearing. In addition to appearing in Smash Ultimate roster leaks, he’s one of the characters to consistently score high in Smash Bros Ballots and fan polls.
While Shadow appeared as a trophy in both Smash Bros Brawl and Smash Bros 4, he hasn’t been announced as an Assist Trophy for Smash Bros Ultimate. Instead, Knuckles appears to have taken his place.
This hints very strongly at Shadow making the roster. With him being so similar to Sonic the Hedgehog, he’d make the perfect Echo Fighter.
