We’re only a few months into the release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, yet there has already been many competitive tournaments and the meta continues to change.

Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List April 2019 by PG Cosmos
Cosmos shared his Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List in a Twitter post. The top 20 are ordered whereas the others are sorted into more generalized tiers.
Top 5 – Daisy/Peach, Pichu, Inkling, Lucina, Wolf
Top 20 – Olimar, Pikachu, Palutena, Young Link, Fox, Wario, Snake, Ivysaur, Pokémon Trainer, Greninja, Zero Suit Samus, Shulk, Roy, Chrom, Mega Man, Ike
Feels Okay – Link, Ness, R.O.B., Ganondorf, Cloud, Yoshi, Mr. Game and Watch, Mewtwo, Donkey Kong, Villager, Captain Falcon, Lucario, Pit, Dark Pit, Meta Knight, Ridley, Bowser, Diddy Kong, Falco, Ice Climbers, Mii Swordfighter, Sonic, Wii Fit Trainer, Incineroar, Mario, Marth, Squirtle, Corrin

While the “Don’t Use Me In Tournament” tier may be more of an April fools joke, the rest of the list is perfectly credible.
Like most other pro players, Cosmos also considers Daisy, Pichu, Inkling, Lucina, and Wolf as some of the best Super Smash Bros Ultimate characters.
Meanwhile, characters like Jigglypuff, Bowser Jr., Kirby, Little Mac, and Piranha Plant are rated low.
Will the Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List for April 2019 Change?
With the new Super Smash Bros Ultimate 3.0 update set to come out by the end of the month, we could see some significant tier list changes.

Of course, the biggest change is that new DLC character Joker will come to the game. It’s also possible we could see some character balance changes, much like in the last major update.
