The last Nintendo Direct gave us announcements for big games like Super Mario Maker 2 and Link’s Awakening for Switch. It also featured a Nintendo Direct Deltarune announcement.
Deltarune is the follow-up to the cult hit Undertale. The RPG is a unique title with quirky humour and battles which require you to be pacifistic.
Now, Deltarune will come to the Switch. Here’s more on the Nintendo Direct Deltarune announcement.

Nintendo Direct Deltarune
Toby Fox’s RPG Undertale was met with huge success and critical acclaim. The game came to the switch last September 2018, and now the sequel will too.
Deltarune is a spin-off of Undertale. While it follows the same formula, it’s set in a different world with different characters. Nonetheless, the trailer announces Deltarune as a game “for players that completed UNDERTALE”.
Deltarune will be released in chapters. The first chapter came out for the PC on October 31, 2018, although fans still await the second.
Deltarune Chapter 1 is also available right now for Nintendo Switch via the eShop. In fact, you can play the first chapter completely free- although the next chapters in the game will require you to pay.

Nintendo Switch Deltarune Chapter 2 Release Date
There’s currently no information on the official Deltarune Chapter 2 release date. However, signs have been encouraging.
Back in November 2018, Toby Fox answered fan questions via a TwitLonger. In his responses, he clarified that he isn’t sure when the game will be complete. He also said he plans to release the rest of the game when all chapters are complete.
By the way, I currently plan to release all of the chapters at once after we complete them. I’m not sure how long that will take.
You’ll buy all of the chapters at once as one purchase. That’ll be the only option. I’m not doing pre-orders because I don’t like those. It just seems like the best way not to burn anybody.
Fox also took to Twitter in April of 2019 to share some of his updates. Here, he claimed he was making progress on chapter 2 by sharing some ideas he’d crafted.
Also I'm making great progress designing Chapter 2. Here's a design I made up for it that I will not use. pic.twitter.com/MNAkCspaBO

However, nearly a year down the line from that Tweet and we’ve still not seen chapter 2. It seems like Deltarune is making fans wait longer than anticipated.
