The NA LCS has been neck and neck all split. We’ve never before scene this level of parity in any of the leagues, but either 100 Thieves or Team Liquid will finally hold sole possession of first place after their match on Saturday.
100T and TL have been two of the top teams throughout summer and they find themselves tied for first after six weeks. Both teams are 4-2 over their last six games and both have something to prove. For 100T, it’s that their spring split performance wasn’t just a fluke. They went into the playoffs with the best record in the league and made it all the way to the finals. That’s where they met up with Liquid and got demolished in a 3-0 sweep.
Then 100T where reminded of just how good TL could be when they lost to them again in the first game of the summer split.
Things haven’t been all well and good since then for TL, though. The chemistry of their bot lane duo, Doublelift and Olleh, isn’t what it used to be. Though they deny anything serious, each has called the other out on Twitter and Doublelift joked about Olleh in one of his streams. The current meta has been hard on a lot of ADCs, and Doublelift has coped with it relatively well. But there’s no denying that this hasn’t been his best split.

Neither team has an easy second game either. Team Liquid will be faced with taking on one of the hottest teams in North America, FlyQuest. Meanwhile, 100T will go up against Golden Guardians, who are more than capable of winning any given match.
After the last match on Sunday, we could see as many as four teams tied for the top spot, or as few as one.
