With Valorant still proving immensely popular in the gaming world, how to fix the latest error code 40 issue is causing a number of gamers a bit of a headache.
Like with any new release or Beta, Valorant is experiencing a number of issues. These issues, of course, will be ironed out ahead of the full release of the game in the coming months.
However, for now, it’s still a frustration for gamers. That’s why the error code 40 is proving to be quite the annoyance for a number of Valorant players this week.
Fear not, though, as we’ve had a bit of a look into things for you. And while there might not be a definitive fix available, there are a number of things you can try to get back into the game.
How to fix the Valorant error code 40 issue
As mentioned, there’s not real ‘fix’ as such. In fact, the error code 40 isn’t really something that Valorant have acknowledged just yet.
But, you can do a couple of things to try and get around the problem and get back online.
First, you can try the trusty system restart trick. Simply turning your computer on and back off can sometimes resolve the problem.
If this doesn’t work, then you can try a complete closedown of the game. This will mean opening your task manager and shutting down all programs running, including Riot Vanguard.
If those two options don’t work, then the other option is simply to show a bit of patience.
Ultimately, it appears that the error code 40 is something affecting the Valorant servers. Most of the time, it rectifies itself and you’ll be back online playing in no time at all.
