This is how to play Black Ops 4 beta and it is good news if you are on PC.

The Black Ops 4 multiplayer is set to be one of the most significant events in gaming this year. With Call of Duty now leaping into the busy Battle Royale market, fans of both PUBG and Fortnite are keen to see if the Blackout Mode will work.

However, you won’t be able to play it during this beta, with Treyarch keeping it under wraps for now. You will be able to play the rest of the multiplayer though but you need to pre-order the game to stand any chance of getting a beta if you want to play on console.

PlayStation 4 closed beta:

Starts: August 3 at 10 am PT
Ends: August 6 at 10 am PT

PS4 and XBOX One closed beta:

Starts: August 10 at 18:00
Ends: August 13 at 18:00

PC closed “early access” beta:

Starts: August 10 at 18:00

PC open beta:

Starts: August 11 at 18:00
Ends: August 13 at 18:00

Thankfully though, there will be a PC open beta on the last two days and will give anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered the game the chance to get involved.

What else do I need?

For PS4, nothing we’re guessing. For Xbox, you will need Xbox Live to be able to play online and for PC merely meet the minimum requirements.

What game mode are there?

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Domination
  • Hardpoint
  • Search and Destroy
  • Control

What maps will there be?

  • Frequency
  • Contraband
  • Seaside
  • Payload
  • Hacienda
  • Gridlock

But when is the BlackOut Mode on?

We’re not too sure yet. Likely there will be a full open beta just before release, so hopefully, the BR mode will be featured.
