The Virtual Grand National is set to get underway today as racing fans look to get their fix and Tiger Roll could be the one punters lump their cash on.
Given the current global situation, racing has been cancelled around the UK. This, of course, means the year’s biggest jump race at Aintree has fallen foul to the rules.
Last year’s real-life effort was won by Tiger Roll. The Gerry O’Brien trained horse has been a huge success in recent years. His 2019 win made it in two on the bounce in the Grand National, following his 2018 victory.
So with racing punters looking forward to the Virtual Grand National this weekend, can Tiger Roll make it three from three?
Tiger Roll is the favourite for the Virtual Grand National
Unsurprisingly, Tiger Roll has been touted as one of the big favourites to win the virtual race once again.
In last season’s effort, the legendary horse finished second in the virtual effort before romping home in the real-life effort later in the day.
And according to Sporting Life, those who enjoy a flutter should be looking at Tiger Roll once again this weekend.
The real Tiger Roll is a legend of the sport, winning the last two Grand Nationals, while the virtual Tiger Roll has one Virtual Grand National to his name. Can the virtual Tiger do it again off top weight? He’s the 5/1 favourite.
The Virtual Grand National gets underway today at 5 pm. ITV will be broadcasting the event live in an event that will no doubt attract a host of viewers given the lack of sport at the moment.
