Are you wondering who the first Rise Nation Fortnite player is?

Rise Nation has signed their first ever Fortnite player as they look to form a competitive team.

They snapped up former Call of Duty pro player, Jamal ‘Whea7s’ Lee, as their first pro player ahead of the first ever competitive Fortnite season; kicking off later this year.

Lee has actually worked with Rise Nation previously, spending almost a year on the Call of Duty roster between March 2014 and January 2015. During this time, he helped the side to a 7th place finish in the team’s inaugural tournament.

Bring on the Talent

After yesterday’s announcement, he will now be Rise Nation’s first choice for the solo portion of the first Fortnite competitive season – but is likely to feature in any duos or squads in the future.

If you are wondering just how good Lee is, then just take a quick look at his Fortnite stats and you will see he has a 5 kill to death ratio and a win rate of 13.31%. While his win rate is only half that of the likes of Ninja and FaZe tfue, Rise Nation clearly have confidence in Lee and think he will do well for them.

We are certainly looking forward to seeing how he gets on when the first round of solo games starts in the competitive season this autumn.
