The Dallas Fuel signed two new assistant coaches for season 2 of the Overwatch League. Louis “Tikatee” Lebel-Wong and Justin “Jayne” Conroy have been involved with the Overwatch scene for some time now, Jayne as a former coach and Tikatee as an analyst and assistant coach. Both will join the team full-time later this year.
Fuel was one of the better teams towards the end of the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. Though they struggled through the first three stages, they managed to land in fourth place in the fourth stage, beating out both the league’s finalists, the Philadelphia Fusion and London Spitfire.

A large part of Fuel’s success can be attributed to head coach Aero. Fuel signed Aero in May after months of poor play. Shortly after he took over the team, the players looked more confident and played with much higher levels of cohesion and their record reflected that.
In a statement on the Overwatch League website, coach Aero said that “Both [Tikatee and Jayne] bring a remarkable aptitude for quickly analyzing gameplay and leave no stone unturned in breaking down footage and helping us create a culture and philosophy that will help our players improve and assist the team in reaching its goals.”
Tikatee and Jayne will have to wait until later this year to join the team in a full-time role, as season 2 of the Overwatch League is still several months away. But don’t forget to check out the season 1 Grand Finals this Friday and Saturday. The Philadelphia Fusion are set take on London Spitfire at the Barclays Center in New York. Both teams were heavy underdogs to make it this far and whoever wins will be crowned the first-ever champion of the Overwatch League.
