The Fortnite Stink Bomb has now been added in the most recent patch.

The latest patch for Fortnite Battle Royale is set to be released today, and it’s not really a big one.

In the past couple of weeks, we’ve had nerfs to shotguns, building, and the introduction of a very controversial weapon – the Thermal Scope.

However, this week, while we do get a new item, we won’t be getting any major changes to the meta. Fair enough, considering all the recent more impactful changes.

So what has changed, and what has been added?

Stink Bomb

As we mentioned in the piece yesterday about the future of Season 5, this toxic stink bomb has been included. It comes in an Epic rarity only and can be found in the usual places – except for llamas.

How much damage does it do?

Astonishingly it does a whopping five damage per half second to enemies caught in its stinky cloud. It lasts for 9 seconds so can do 90 damage. While it won’t kill someone at full health, it will do a hell of a lot of damage.

How strong will it be?

Until we can play with it, we won’t know it’s power. The odds of you being able to keep someone in the cloud for 9 seconds is unlikely – unless you throw two grenades, or catch them in a base.

It will be interesting to see if weapons like the impulse grenade will clear away the gas briefly.

What else is new?

There are some changes, but nothing extreme.

The reload time on a Rocket Launcher has been nerfed meaning it will now take another 0.5 seconds to reload; quite lengthy already.

You can also only carry just 12 unloaded rockets now. This is something that may annoy a hell of a lot of players, though. Rockets are very handy in the late game, especially if people are camping in bushes or buildings.

Are Epic Games making Fortnite too casual?

Well, that’s one way of looking at it, but my opinion is this; if you are blaming the fact you don’t have a rocket launcher for not winning, then it might be you.
