Get ready to hear ‘Nicolas99 FIFA eWorld Cup’ over the next few months, because he is brilliant.
It isn’t just the 2018 World Cup in Russia happening this summer; there is another one going on – just for FIFA 18.
The FIFA eWorld Cup kicks off in August, taking place in London and will see 32 of the best Xbox and PlayStation players battle it out on Ultimate Team, to see who really is the best in the world.
Over this weekend 16 professional players secured their spots at the tournament after the FIFA Amsterdam competition.
Argentinian Prodigy
We were treated to some of the best worldwide Playstation players; showing us just how average we all are in comparison.
The big FIFA esports names such as Boras, Agge, and Eisvogel comfortably qualified. There was one man, however, who took the tournament by storm.
19-year-old Nicolas99FC lost just one of his 16 games during the weekend; proving that he is one of the best defenders in the world. This was tested in the final match against Bayer Leverkusen’s Marvin ‘M4rv’ Hintz. M4rv managed to take in the lead against the Argentinian FIFA master.
Comeback
However, Nicolas didn’t take any time hitting back, scoring two goals in a matter of minutes before eventually picking up a huge 5-3 victory.
Letting in three goals was quite a surprise, especially considering just how well Nicolas had been keeping it tight throughout the tournament. One of his most prominent skills during the weekend was how he switched between defenders, always staying on top of the play.
He has already won more than $22,000 so far this year, and you would be a courageous man to bet against him during the FIFA eWorld Cup.
In fact, we may need to rename it to the Nicolas99 FIFA eWorld Cup!
