It looks like Fortnite console mouse and keyboard players will be put together.

One of the biggest controversies since Fortnite’s release has been using mouse and keyboard on console. This is only native to PlayStation 4 users, with them being able to get a brutal advantage over players using controllers.

While console users may get a fantastic amount of auto-aim when shooting, anyone using a mouse and keyboard can build faster and can snap easier to targets. In fact, there have been a lot of arguments about it, especially with console players making up more than 90% of the Solo Showdown top 50 players.

Epic Comments on Console Keyboard and Mouse

Unsurprisingly, there have been many comments on social media. However, it was this latest post on Reddit that finally caught the attention of Epic Games.

This man speaks the Truth. Argue all you want kbm in console lobbies gives unfair advantage from FortNiteBR

Epic Games employee JustMooney1 commented by adding:

Hi! We’re actually working on some matchmaking tech, on the way, that’ll pair you against folks based on your choice of peripherals. More info on this coming next week, but tl;dr if you’re on KB+M you’ll be against KB+M.

It will be interesting to see how this actually works; with those using a XiM4 are going to be recognised by the game.

Hopefully, Epic will find a way to balance things out and stop mouse and keyboard on console ruling the roost.
