We have already said that the FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team mode is a lot of fun, and we hope that FIFA 19 follows suit.
If you haven’t played it yet, you absolutely should – and if you have played it, but need a few pointers on how to make a really great squad, we’ve got some tips and tricks so you can make the most out of it.
Here are five really great tips for you during the World Cup Ultimate Team:
Complete the squad builder challenges
As we have pointed out, you get packs for the online games you play, and in each knockout game in the offline version.
With these packs, you can use the players to put into squad builders, and we would suggest doing the ‘Getting Started’ challenge which will give you a Premium pack, and 81+ rated players pack.
This will help you flesh out your team with some higher rated players… I got Thibaut Courtois in mine!
Do the Icon SBC

Seriously, do this! All you need to put together is a decently rated team – 78, I believe, with low chemistry. Do this, and in return, you get an icon card!
From the likes of Pele to Diego Maradona, and even Gary Lineker to Thierry Henry. This is 100% worth it.
Play offline drafts
Your instinct might be to go online, but honestly, the rewards are not quite as good. Again, you get a pack for each game, and if you complete it, you will get a three-player European pack – very nice. You really do end up with more rewards doing this, and you can even play on amateur.
Use the coin boosts
If you have made a new account, you can go on to the vanilla Ultimate Team and buy the coin boosts. These will then carry over to your World Cup UT, and you can earn more than 1,500 coins per game. That almost guarantees a pack after playing four or five games.
Save loan players
One of the packs you get from the ‘Getting Started’ SBC is an Icon loan pack. If you save these cards and use them for online knockout games, you will be giving yourself a huge advantage over other players in the FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team mode.
