Championship promotion hopefuls, West Brom, have crashed out of the FIFA QuaranTeam tournament despite a spirited effort from Callum Robinson.
Robinson, who is on loan from Sheffield United in real football, put himself forward to represent the Baggies in the QuaranTeam tournament on FIFA 20.

However, coming up against Ajax, Robinson and West Brom stood little chance as they were comfortably seen off 5-1 in the end.
West Brom are chasing promotion from the Championship but Robinson couldn’t replicate that form in the world of FIFA.
In fact, Robinson never really got near his Dutch nemesis and was, frankly, hammered.
Following the game, West Brom took a cheeky dig at their opponent on Twitter, claiming he’s probably got little life.
Callum Robinson not happy with FIFA QuaranTeam result
Given the West Brom man is a footballer by trade and a casual FIFA player, it seemed a bit unfair for Ajax to chuck a pro player in front of Robinson.
But that’s what they did, and Robinson wasn’t too impressed at their tactics. Indeed, the striker took to Twitter himself almost immediately after the loss to show his own dismay.
Robinson couldn’t get going against his opponent and it looks like it’s back to the drawing board for the West Brom star.
FIFA QuaranTeam taking over the footballing world
With no football at the moment for fans to sink their teeth into, this FIFA QuaranTeam tournament is as good as it gets for footy fans.
A number of big clubs are still in the competition, with the draw for the last 32 taking place today.
For West Brom and Robinson though, the game is already over. However, depending on how long the current global lockdown goes on, Robinson might get another shot at things.
West Brom will also be hoping that Robinson can bring better form to his actual football in a few months’ time.
