1. FIFA 19
FIFA as an esport has always had a strong following, but FIFA 19 has the potential to take it to whole new heights.
On top of being the biggest FIFA release yet, the Premier League will be hosting their very own ePremier League with top UK players representing EPL teams. It’s one of the best esports games for Xbox One and PS4 players.
2. Mortal Kombat 11
The latest installment in the Mortal Kombat series is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and even Nintendo Switch this April.
Various Mortal Kombat 11 characters have already been revealed, including old favorites like Scorpion and Sub-Zero and also new characters like Geras. Expect to see this at big FGC tournaments- it may even make EVO 2019.
3. Halo: Infinite
Halo has always had a loyal esports following, although it’s often overshadowed by other FPS games such as CS:GO and Call of Duty.
Nonetheless, Halo: Infinite will come later this year for the Xbox One and PC. Halo 6 will take the game in a new direction and feature huge visual upgrades. We’ll see if it rejuvenates the Halo scene.

Late last year, Valve released their own Hearthstone-esque digital card game- Artifact. While its been met with many poor reviews, the game revolves around competitive tournaments and there’s already a $1 million event in the works.

5. PUBG Mobile
It goes without saying that battle royale games are huge. PUBG and Fortnite took off as esports in 2018. However, their mobile versions may soon follow.
PUBG Mobile has become one of the best mobile esports games, with big international tournaments like the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge and platforms to compete like Toornament.
