Super Smash Bros is one of the longest running esports that spans multiple titles. So who are the highest paid Super Smash Bros players in 2019?

Super Smash Bros Melee players still lead the pack. But there have been some big prize pools in Super Smash Bros for WiiU, and Ultimate could be bigger than both of them.

Here are the highest paid Super Smash Bros players across all games according to stats from Esportsearnings.

Top 5 Highest Paid Super Smash Bros Players in 2019

5. Mango – $170,332

Joseph “Mango” Marquez (also known as Mang0) is one of the top Super Smash Bros Melee players of all time. His wins across many events have netted him tournament earnings of over $170,000.

Mang0’s success comes almost purely from Melee, and he’s never made a serious run at other Super Smash Bros games. With that said, his personality and play style have seen him become one of the highest paid Super Smash Bros players and top Smash Bros streamer.

4. ZeRo – $181,818

Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios is the best player from Super Smash Bros for WiiU and once held an incredible 56-tournament winning streak.

He’s the only non-Melee player to crack the top five- although he did have some wins in smaller Melee tournaments. His main success comes from Smash 4 and Brawl. He also won the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Invitational 2018. Will he start to compete in Ultimate and earn even more?

3. Mew2King – $272,309

The legendary Super Smash Bros Melee player has made more money from the game than anyone except two people. Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman is one of the clear all-time greats in Melee.

Perhaps even more impressively, he has multiple tournament wins in every Super Smash Bros game (and Project M) except for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Still, there’s plenty of time for him to climb to the top there.

2. Armada – $310,885

Adam “Armada” Lindgren is known as one of the original five gods of Melee and arguably the greatest of all time. He’s been a top player in Melee for over a decade and also has wins in Project M and Brawl.

Armada now turns his attention towards Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Although he’s only had relative success so far, his dedication could see him go further.

1. Hungrybox – $324,861

Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma usurped Armada last year as the highest paid Super Smash Bros player. He won 14 tournaments in 2018, picking up $65,484 to add to contribute to his $324,861 total.

Hungrybox has become the clear number one Smash Bros Melee player in the world, and it seems he plans to continue with the classic game instead of converting to Ultimate.
