The post-major changes are starting to come in as tarik joins NRG to replace Fugly. This marks the first time we’ll see tarik in action since his departure from MIBR back in December. The former major-winner will look to bring the team more success with a new NRG CS:GO roster. The organization announced the move in a video.

Tarik Joins NRG – Fugly Out

NRG has had a good run of success. The team’s string of good placements at tournaments saw them become a Top 10 team on the HLTV rankings.

However, despite being one of the top teams at the IEM Katowice 2019 Major, they went out 0-3 in the Legends Stage.

It became clear the team needs changes, and they made a big one yesterday. The organization now welcomes former Cloud9 and MIBR player Tarik to the roster.

Tarik had an extremely tumultuous 2018. After winning the ELEAGUE Boston Major with Cloud9, he left the team to join MIBR with Stewie2k. Despite having a lineup of star players, MIBR failed to achieve success and performed poorly in all events since putting their new roster together.

At the end of 2018, MIBR brought in TACO and felps to replace tarik and Stewie2k. Since then, Stewie2k joined Team Liquid and Tarik was left without a team.

His experience and firepower will be a big boost to NRG- a team with good tactical foundations which needs more star power. The new NRG CS:GO roster is now:

Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
Damian “daps” Steele
Ethan “Ethan” Arnold
Tarik “tarik” Celik
Chet “ImAPet” Singh (Coach)

When Will The New NRG CS:GO Roster Play?

The IEM Katowice 2019 CS:GO Major continues without NRG, but it won’t be too long before we see them at an event.

NRG will play with tarik at the StarSeries i-League Season 7 Finals, which start on March 30th.

With tarik’s wealth of experience and firepower, he should add a lot to the team’s performance.
