There are plenty of Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Lists, but some players are starting to take a different approach. After the release of Leffen’s Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid, those who want to rank the Smash Bros Ultimate fighters now have another option. That’s why one Reddit user, u/Wschmidth created a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid Maker.
The Tier Grid is a format that’s often used in other fighting games. It allows players to rank fighters on various factors, instead of a straightforward, one-above-the-other approach. For instance, a fighter might be top tier in skill with glaring weaknesses. Likewise, there could be a character considered low tier but with plenty of skills to take advantage of.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid Maker
Players can now make their own Tier Grid. Reddit user u/Wschmidth made a Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid Maker based on Leffen’s Tier Grid. You can use the Tier Grid Maker here.
You can rank the Smash Bros Ultimate roster on two axes- Has Faults to Well Rounded and Top Tier to Bottom Tier. Simply drag and drop the characters to their position on the grid. You can also change the token sizes and color with the controls on the left.
Once you’re done, simply print screen and you can save your Tier Grid in any image program.
Leffen’s Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid 2019
While the Tier Grid format is popular in other fighting games, it took off for Smash Bros Ultimate after Smash Bros pro player Leffen created one.
Leffen revealed his Smash Bros Ultimate Tier Grid in a YouTube video. He currently thinks that Peach is the best character, although Pokemon Trainer, Lucina, and Inkling are more well-rounded.
It also shows characters with a lot of potential. Top characters with faults, such as Wario, Donkey Kong, and Pichu, could receive a serious boost if a patch buffs them.
While Tier Lists are still popular, especially thanks to Nairo’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List Maker, we’ll see if Tier Grids take off.
