The Super Smash Bros Ultimate launch was just a few days ago, but the second patch is already coming within the next week. Super Smash Bros Ultimate Patch 1.2.0 will fix a bug with Online Replays, allowing players to record videos of matches in Smash Bros Ultimate.

Smash Bros Ultimate Patch 1.2.0 will also feature a new Spirits Event- A Spectacle to Behold! It’s likely that the patch will also make some minor fixes and changes. If we’re lucky, we might even get new content.

A notification for the patch will now show up when you start Super Smash Bros Ultimate. However, the patch will not release until sometime later in the week.

So far, all that’s confirmed is that it’ll fix a bug with Online Replays. Currently recorded replays will no longer be available, although players can back them up.

The notification informs players on how to keep their Smash Bros Ultimate replays if they want to. The steps are as follows:

If you have any replays you want to keep, go to Vault > Replays > Replay Data > Convert to Video

These steps will allow you to save a video on your console or SD card and transfer it to your computer or share it online.

Smash Bros Ultimate Spirits Event – A Spectacle to Behold!

There’s also an upcoming Spirits Event. Characters with glasses will give players twice the usual gold! It’s an interesting update and shows that Smash Ultimate will likely feature regular fun events to keep players occupied.

Smash Bros Ultimate Version 1.2.0 Updates

Although the patch is specifically being pushed out to fix a bug with Online Replays, it may come with other updates.

For instance, the first update, Patch Version 1.1.0, added a few new Smash Bros Ultimate Spirits to the game just in time for launch.

Currently, there’s a lot of negative feedback surrounding Smash Bros Ultimate Online Mode. Despite the system allowing you to set specific rules for battles, most players find themselves in matches with completely different rulesets.

The new patch could fix the Online Mode for a better player experience. If we’re lucky, we might also get some new content such as Spirits.

The update might also patch the fastest way to unlock characters in Smash Bros Ultimate. This trick allows players to get characters within 2 hours, suggesting it may be a glitch. Use it while you can!
