Who will play Smash Bros Ultimate at Evo 2018?
Smash Bros. 4 for Wii U and Smash Bros. Melee players were quick to stake their claim. NRG Nairo was first to offer himself up.

Ex TSM ZeRo made it clear he wants a part of the action too.
Damn, are you guys trying to get me to attend EVO? Hit up my email Nintendo 🙂

ESAM of Panda Global also showed interest. The player lineup hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Nintendo should be able to put together some good Smash Ultimate matchups!
Second Event For Smash Bros 5
It’s not the first time SSB Ultimate has been put to the test. E3 2018 featured the Smash Ultimate Invitational with top Smashers such as Armada, Abadango, and C9 Mango.
Ultimately, ZeRo took home the Smash Ultimate prize after beating MkLeo with Sheik.
With a Smash Bros. Ultimate roster of 65 characters and new players to try them out, fans will get to see plenty more of the game in action at Evo.
The Next Big Esport?
Nintendo has shown a huge dedication to turn Super Smash Bros. into a dedicated esport.
With a bigger roster than ever, more competitive features, and exhibition matches already set up, it could be one of the biggest upcoming esports in 2018.
Fans in attendance at Evo 2018 will also get to test the Smash Bros. Ultimate demo for themselves. Classic characters like Cloud Strife, Fox, and Link return along with newcomers like Metroid’s Ridley and Inkling from Splatoon.
With all of this as well as tournaments for Melee and Smash Bros. for Wii U, there’s tons of excitement for Smash fans at the upcoming Evo event from August 3 – 5.
