The “Budget Cyber Monday Version of OGC” (also known as Old Guys Club) have won their bracket with a victory over Hysteria. They will now move on to the next stage of qualification for IEM Katowice 2019- the Americas Minor Closed Qualifiers.
Old Guys Club Make CS:GO Minor Qualifier
The ex C9 CS:GO pros have been playing alongside Silent as the Budget Cyber Monday Version of OGC in the CS:GO Minor Open Qualifiers.
While Old Guys Club was previously a stream team made for fun by n0thing, shroud, and seangares, it’s now turned into a team with a legitimate hope of qualifying for IEM Katowice 2019.
The team has also been streaming their progress via Twitch.
The roster won their bracket in the North America Open Qualifier #4. This took wins over four different NA teams also competing for a spot. You can view the full bracket on the ESEA website.
CS:GO America Minor Closed Qualifiers
The next step for Old Guys Club is to compete in the IEM Katowice Americas Minor Closed Qualifiers, starting December 12 and running to December 14.
They will compete for a spot against other qualifying teams in the Americas region. This includes big names such as Team Envy, eUnited, Ghost Gaming, Rogue, NRG, Mythic, and Swole Patrol.

The top 6 teams for this stage will then advance to the CS:GO America Minor Championships for IEM Katowice 2019.
Dr Disrespect to Coach Old Guys Club?
Not only do OGC advance in the tournament, but if they make it to Poland, they may bring Dr Disrespect as a coach.
Valve are already preparing for the well-known Twitch streamer to make an appearance.
The real challenge will be getting a pod that's 6'8" tall… Cc: @shroud @drdisrespect https://t.co/xwqqcilzhK

The qualifying Old Guys Club roster closely mimics the CS:GO Cloud9 team from 2015.
Shroud, n0thing, seangares, and Skadoodle have once again banded together. While their former teammate Freakazoid will play in the minor qualifiers with Swole Patrol, Silent joins OGC as a fifth.
It’s been a successful move so far with great team chemistry and some good performances from the team, albeit against lesser competitors. With six spots to fight for, OGC could go a step further in the CS:GO America Minor.
