- In a surprise Nintendo Direct, dubbed a ‘Direct Mini’ today, Nintendo announced Bioshock will get a full release on it’s Nintendo Switch console in the coming months.
The Bioshock series is one of the 2K’s best selling and most popular games. However, it’s previously only been available on other consoles, eluding the Nintendo Switch so far.
But Switch players won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on the Bioshock experience.
Nintendo has announced that all three instalments of the Bioshock series will drop for the Switch on May 29.
In addition, you’ll also be able to get all three games in one nice collector’s edition. This will be a nice touch for those who like to collect their games through the years.
Nintendo Direct Mini announces Bioshock and wealth of other games
The surprise Nintendo Direct came with a whole raft of exciting announcements for the Nintendo Switch.
As well as Bioshock coming along, the likes of the XCOM 2 collection and Borderlands will also be added by 2K to the Nintendo Switch gaming library.
These games are some of the most successful of the past decade. It makes sense, then, for Nintendo to get them up and running on the Switch given the console’s success.
Over a decade of Bioshock comes to Nintendo
The Bioshock series has been around longer than most people think. The initial game launched way back in 2007, meaning it’s been hitting shelves for over a decade now.
Bioshock has won countless Game of the Year awards and critical acclaim along the way.
