The first CS:GO Major of 2019, IEM Katowice, starts next week on 13th February. However, the next CS:GO Major of 2019 may soon be announced. It seems that the next CS:GO Major will be StarLadder Berlin 2019. This would be the 15th CS:GO Major and the first ever to be hosted by StarLadder.

Next CS:GO Major – StarLadder Berlin 2019

News of the next CS:GO Major came from a report by dexerto. It states that multiple sources point to the second CS:GO Major of 2019 being a StarLadder Major in Berlin.

It will be the first ever CS:GO Major by StarLadder. However, the production company has hosted multiple CS:GO events before, such as the StarSeries i-League Events and StarLadder Invitationals.

StarLadder also has experience in hosting majors for other esports. They were recently the host of the Dota 2 Chongqing major- one of the biggest esports events of 2019 so far. With plenty of experience in CS:GO and Major events, the Berlin 2019 CS:GO Major should be in good hands.

International fans may be left disappointed. While we’ve had a United States major the past two years, it seems both majors will be in Europe for 2019.

When Will The Next CS:GO Major in 2019 Be?

There’s still no confirmation of the next major date. However, last year had Majors in January and September. With the IEM Katowice 2019 major starting in February, the next CS:GO Major of 2019 should start around October or late September.

As usual, qualifiers and minors for the Berlin Major should take place in the months before. This means we could see qualifiers for the next major start around the beginning of summer.

For now, fans can look forward to the IEM Katowice 2019 CS:GO Major starting next Wednesday. You can view the full list of all CS:GO Major Teams for IEM Katowice 2019 and even take part in the Pick’Em challenge if you buy the CS:GO Viewer Pass.
