New Smash Bros Ultimate Tier List by Abadango
Abadango made it clear that the new Smash Ultimate tier list was based on his current impressions. Tiers from top to bottom roughly translate to “Seems Strong”, “Seems Ok”, “Seems Weak”, and “Not Sure Yet”.
Strong – Pikachu, Olimar, Diddy Kong, Inkling, Link, Marth, Corrin, Lucina, Roy, Meta Knight, Sonic, Zelda, Bayonetta, Sheik, Ryu/Ken
Normal – Incineroar, Mega Man, Richter Belmont/Simon Belmont, Dark Pit/Pit, Chrom, Cloud, Donkey Kong, Fox, Ice Climbers, Ike, Jigglypuff, King K Rool, Little Mac, Mario, Mewtwo, Mr Game and Watch, Squirtle, Charizard, Pokemon Trainer, Ridley, R.O.B., Snake, Villager, Young Link, Wolf, Ganondorf.
Weak – Isabelle, Samus, Bowser Jr., Ness, Bowser, Captain Falcon, Duck Hunt Duo, Falco, King Dedede, Kirby, Luigi, Pac Man, Palutena, Pichu, Ivysaur, Robin, Rosalina/Luma, Ken, Dark Samus, Wario
Not Sure Yet – Piranha Plant, Dr. Mario, Greninja, Lucario, Lucas, Shulk, Toon Link, Zero Suit Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Mii Fighters, Yoshi, Daisy/Peach
There are some interesting rankings. Pikachu and Olimar are all the way at the top and Bayonetta is still top tier. Ken is two tiers below Ryu, while Ivysaur is a tier below other Pokemon Trainer characters.
Mew2King also gave his input.
This is so crazy to me because I've recently been telling people on my stream that based on current knowledge Pikachu and Olimar are like contenders for best + super underrated.

yea i don't agree on ken being low, i think ken is probably barely worse than ryu (losing kill confirm is huge, prob bigger than the speed change if i had to guess) i think ken/ryu are both very strong personally

Comparing to the Smash Bros Ultimate Demo Tier List
ZeRo, ESAM, Mew2King, and Salem previously showed their own Smash Bros Ultimate Demo Tier Lists after E3 and EVO 2018.
Naturally, things are a little different now. Players have been able to try many more characters, and a lot have had significant changes since the demo.
Pikachu, Bayonetta, Marth, and Sheik have been considered consistently strong in all Tier Lists. Meanwhile, it seems like Samus and Kirby are amongst the weakest.
A lot can change when pros discover how to utilize characters, but it’s interesting to see where everyone ranks.
