The new MIBR coach was just announced, and it may come as a shock to some.
Famed Serbian CS:GO analyst Janko “YNk” Pauvonic will be leading Made in Brazil from now on as MIBR’s new head coach!
MIBR FalleN has been teasing the announcement for the past week. Many believed it would be an experienced Brazilian coach such as Team Liquid Zews, former Immortals coach Peacemaker or even Counter-Strike 1.6 legend Cogu.
However, it turns out the team went further afield, making their international roster even more diverse.
Who is YNk?
Many know Janko “YNk” Pauvonic as being one of the top analysts for CS:GO events, including ESL, ELEAGUE, DreamHack, and many more.
What not so many people know is he’s a former pro player, playing in CS 1.6 and Global Offensive. Most notably, he used to play in the iNation team along with one of the world’s current best players, FaZe NiKo.
His past experience playing, combined with his ability to break down pro strategies, will make him a valuable addition to the new MIBR roster.
What does this mean for the new MIBR roster?
YNk will be helping the team formulate gameplans and strategies for upcoming events.
With a fresh MIBR roster consisting of top Brazilian players coldzera, fer, and FalleN, along with ex Cloud9 Tarik and Stewie2k, he’ll have plenty of talent to work with.
Most recently the team brought Cloud 9 Tarik to MIBR because he “wanted to win”. With the tactical guidance of FalleN along with the experience of Janko, the team aims to get a step further toward this goal.
Let’s make us great again.
Always admired Yanko and will be a pleasure to play under his thoughts. I’m sure he will deliver and help us in many aspects.
Thanks @ricsini who was our coach, manager and father for 4 years straight. I’m super happy he will still be working with us https://t.co/iJ27N6Bz4w— Gabriel Toledo (@FalleNCS) August 1, 2018
When will we see the new MIBR team in action?
The new MIBR roster was put to the test at the ELEAGUE Premier 2018. While they managed to beat the new C9 roster, they were later eliminated by Team Liquid in the Group Stages.
YNk will officially be new MIBR coach starting on August 13. We’ll see what he can bring to the table in their next event, DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 on August 29.
After that, it’s time for the biggest CS:GO event of the summer, the FACEIT CS:GO Major.
Will the Serbian make Made in Brazil great again?
