Starting this Tuesday, Fortnite will be running their special 1st Birthday celebration featuring new Fortnite Birthday challenges, a new hero, and free cosmetics for players!

The event will run from July 24th – August 7th. Players will be able to take part in challenges to earn free cosmetics from their limited edition Birthday Cosmetic set.

Players will also be able to unlock a new Fortnite hero! Birthday Brigade Ramirez will be available to players who complete the Birthday questline in Save The World mode.

Fortnite Birthday Challenges and Birthday Cosmetics

Epic Games revealed the new Fortnite challenges via their website earlier this week.

Fortnite Birthday Challenges

  • Unlock the Fortnite Birthday! Emoticon by dealing 1,000 damage to opponents
  • Unlock the Happy Birthday! Spray by dancing at 10 Birthday Cakes around the map
  • Get 5,000 XP by playing 14 matches

In addition to the free Fortnite cosmetics, players who complete all three Fortnite Birthday challenges will also unlock the Birthday Cake Back Bling!

Epic Games are also encouraging players to share their Birthday Cake dances on social media using the hashtag #Fortnite1st.

New Fortnite Hero: Birthday Brigade Ramirez

The new challenges aren’t the only thing to look forward to. Players will also be able to unlock a new Fortnite Hero: Birthday Brigade Ramirez.

Players will have to complete a special Birthday questline in the Save The world game mode to unlock the Birthday Brigade Ramirez Hero. Save The World is currently 50% off until July 30th.

Fortnite released a Save the World Developer Update covering the Birthday updates and what the new quests will involve.

More Fortnite Birthday Fun

You’ll also be able to ride the Birthday battle bus and get tickets to spend on Birthday Llamas, giving you a chance of getting weapons and Heroes from all of this year’s events.

Epic Games have had a big week already, between their Fortnite Summer Skirmish and releasing the new MP5 gun. With all the work that goes into the game, it’s hard to believe it’s only been a year!
