With Splatoon 2 being one of the biggest Switch titles, Inkling is one of the big additions to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster. However, you will have to spend a little time unlocking Inkling. Here’s how to unlock Inkling in Smash Bros Ultimate.
Fastest Way To Unlock Inkling In Smash Bros Ultimate
The quickest way to unlock Inkling in Super Smash Bros Ultimate is by using Classic Mode. You can unlock Inkling in one game of Classic Mode by playing as Samus.
This should only take around 10 minutes or less. While you can also use Smash Mode or World of Light to unlock Inkling, these methods will take longer.
How To Unlock Inkling In Classic Mode
It only takes one game of Classic Mode to unlock Inkling. The Smash Bros Ultimate character unlock order shows that Inkling is the 2nd character in Samus’ unlock chain.
Samus > Inkling > Wii Fit Trainer > Pit > Incineroar > Dark Samus > Cloud > Wario > Dark Pit > Sonic
All you need to do is complete Classic Mode once as Samus to unlock Inkling. This should only take around 10 minutes. You may be able to shorten the time by playing on an easier difficulty level.
How To Unlock Inkling In Smash Mode
Playing regular Smash Mode battles is the fastest way to unlock all Smash Bros Ultimate characters. While you can usually unlock a character every 10 minutes, there’s a trick to unlock a new character every 1-2 minutes.
Inkling is the 5th character you unlock using this method. While you can still unlock Inkling very fast with Smash Mode, you’ll most likely do it much quicker with Classic Mode.
How To Unlock Inkling In World of Light
You can also unlock Smash Ultimate characters in World of Light, the Smash Bros Ultimate Adventure Mode.
Inkling can be found in the Console City area of World of Light. While Inkling is one of the earlier characters you unlock in World of Light, it’s still quicker to use Classic Mode or Smash Mode to unlock them fast.
