How To Gift In Fortnite PS4, PC, Xbox One, Switch & Android
Gifting your friends in Fortnite is easy. The new Fortnite shop gives you the option to buy an item for a friend instead of buying for yourself. This is available on all kinds of skins, cosmetics, and emotes. You can’t gift Battle Pass Tiers or V-bucks.
To gift, simply open the shop and choose to Buy As A Gift.
You’ll be able to choose a friend from your Friend List. You can gift up to 4 friends. You must have been friends for at least 2 days.
You can also add a gift message. This is what it will look like when your friend receives the gift.
Who And What Can You Gift In Fortnite
You can currently gift in Fortnite on Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android. The only platform where you’re unable to gift is on Fortnite Mobile on iOS, as Apple Policies restrict it.
Epic Games also outlined certain things you need to do to be able to gift on the Fortnite blog.
- You must have 2 Factor Authentication Enabled. You can enable 2FA by logging in to your Epic Games account and going to the Password and Security settings.
- You must be friends with someone for at least 48 hours to gift them.
- You can only gift 3 times within a 24 hour period.
- All Fortnite gifts purchased are non-refundable.
- You can only gift items currently available in the Fortnite shop.
With many new Fortnite skins coming to the game, you’ll have a lot of fun items to gift to your friends.
Gifting is currently available for a week until December 4th. However, with Fortnite Season 7 launching shortly after and Christmas on the horizon, it’s likely gifting will become permanent soon after.
