So, the Fortnite Season 5 map is going to be a bit different…
Fortnite data miners, TwoEpicBuddies, have revealed significant changes coming to the Season 5 map.
We’ve been speculating for weeks what will be happening in the next season – beginning later this week. Many people believed that it would be set in the past, with possible themes being Roman or Greek.
We, on the other hand, thought that it might be placed in a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of sand and not much else. Well, for a brief moment yesterday, we thought we were correct…
It’s High Noon
Fortnite leaker TwoEpicBuddies posted this map that they data mined from the game; all signs now point to it being a western-themed season, and we are entirely on board with that.
It shows more than half of the map is covered in desert, while the other looks to be brush or shrubs. Interestingly, all of the usual locations are in on the map; however, they look slightly different.
For example, the sand around Moisty Mire is more orange, suggesting that it might well be quicksand. Hopefully, this means going there will give you good loot but at a high risk due to the sand.
Other than Moisty Mire, it doesn’t appear that there are any more changes yet, but who knows what Epic Games have up their sleeves over the next week or so.
One thing is for sure; we cannot wait to dress up like a cowboy or girl and go on a tear with the revolver.
